Summary: The Sydney Awareness Day Seminar will be held on Sunday September 26 at the Clinical Sciences Building, Hospital Road, Concord. There will be an interesting and varied programme including CMT people sharing "What I have Achieved Despite My CMT"..

AWARENESS DAY SEMINAR SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2010
VENUE: Clinical Science Building Concord Hospital CONCORD NSW
TIME: 9.00 am until 2.30pm

This year our theme is “CMT Success Stories”. As members of the CMT Family the Awareness Day Seminar provides the opportunity for us to meet together to hear the latest from those on the front line of research, see what is available to help us manage our situation and most importantly to be encouraged through speaking with fellow CMT Family members.

Speakers include:
• Professor Garth Nicholson speaking on CMT Research Achievements and Future Research.
• Associate Professor Joshua Burns speaking on CMT Treatment – an International Research Perspective.
• Anita Hood speaking on Successful Podiatry for people with CMT.
• Casper Ozinga Managing Director of Comfort and Fit will give a presentation covering appropriate footwear for people with CMT.
• Interviews with both young and not so young people with CMT who will share their success stories in managing their CMT situation.
CMTAA President Darryl Beitsch outlining the exciting future for your CMTAA.
• The opportunity to ask our panel of speakers questions that they may be able to assist you with.

COST:
$15 per adult and $5 per child (16 years and under). This includes morning tea and lunch. Parking is conveniently available in the hospital car park opposite the Clinical Science Building for a cost of $5 per day.

Please note that at the conclusion of the Awareness Day Seminar the CMTAA will hold the AGM. If you would like to find out about the year’s activities or are interested in becoming involved with the CMTAA committee please feel free to attend.
